Fees and Scope of Works

 

If the hours cited in the project management quote are exceed, Katriona Alice retains the right to review the contract and quote for additional fees.

 

Additional work, either onsite or design work, which is not set out in the contract will be billed at 60€ per hour, exc VAT. This includes, but is not limited to, expansion of design scope, additional client meetings and additional site visits.

 

If either the client or the designer would like to terminate the contract, fees will be charged up to the phase at which the contract was terminated. Reasons do not need to be provided for termination of contract.

 

Katriona Alice fees do not include fees for relevant certification of planning permission drawings or fees for planning permission submission. Additional fees may be required for services such as construction calculations, architectural certification, planning submission or pre-planning consultation. Katriona Alice can supply a separate quote for these upon requested.

 

Katriona Alice fees do not include installation, this also means that they do not include installation of products. Quotes are for design, procurement and supervision only. Katriona Alice can supply a separate quote for installation upon requested.

 

Katriona Alice is available for client meetings within office hours only, these are Tuesday to Friday 09:00-17:00.

 

Indicative timeslots within the quote are reserved on a first come first served basis. These are only guaranteed from the time of signing.

 

All invoices and/or design fees will be billed to the client via email and are payable within 7 days.

 

This offer is valid for 1 months from submission to client.

 

Products and Purchasing

 

* For purchasing and procurement we require a credit deposit upfront. Katriona Alice does not purchase items in lieu of repayment. Please note that delays in paying the credit deposit will cause delays in purchasing and design implementation.

 

Please be aware that some products have very long lead times, 8 -12 weeks, from purchase. These lead times are usually tiles, bespoke cabinets, such as; kitchens, and large furniture items such as; sofas and beds.

 

Product prices do not include installation or construction fees, this includes furniture which comes as a flat pack. Katriona Alice can provide a quote for this upon request.

 

Receiving, storage and delivery of products or materials may encore additional fees. If it is not possible to store products on site, due to the scope, or size, of the project, or product, Katriona Alice may need to hire a van or house lift to facilitate installation. For example, smaller projects or smaller items can be stored in the office or onsite using the company car for mobility, this does not encore additional fees. Larger projects or large items need additional storage, larger vans and longer storage periods, you can expect fees for storage and van hire.

 

Please note house lifts are a common delivery method in the Netherlands due to the steep nature of the staircases. You can expect the need for a house lift when purchasing kitchens, cabinets, bathtubs or tiles. This is usually 100euros per delivery.

 

In rare cases Katriona Alice cannot always be available for deliveries to a project site. This will discussed with the client in advance. If this occurs then Katriona Alice will communicate an indicative delivery time or pick-up location to the client via email or text message. If the client fails to be at the indicated place for a delivery or neglects to collect a product from a pick-up point in time then Katriona Alice will not be held liable and the client may encore costs.

 

Verbal and non-verbal agreements on products and materials between Katriona Alice and the client will be considered binding agreements. The client cannot decline a product or material once it has been agreed and the order has been placed

 

If an approved product is no longer available Katriona Alice will provide a like-for-like replacement.

 

Deviations from the quoted product price after purchase may occur, especially in the case of online discounts or sales quotes. Deviations of more than 5% of the original price will be discussed with the client prior to purchasing. The final bill will be made fair to both parties by using a remedial credit or debit invoice where this happens.

 

Any damage to products prior to installation will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Katriona Alice will seek an exchange or replacement where possible. However Katriona Alice will not be held financially liable for product damages that have not been directly made by Katriona Alice themselves.

 

Katriona Alice reserves the right to obtain trade commissions from B2B suppliers.

 

Third Party Work and Project Installation

 

All persons outside of Katriona Alice’s owner; Kitty, should be considered third party workers.

 

Katriona Alice expects any changes made by the clients, in any capacity, to be communicated to Katriona Alice’s owner; Kitty Uitentuis, directly.

 

Always inform Katriona Alice of any discussions on site with third parties, this includes design, dates or products. If a client makes an agreement with a third-party without Katriona Alice’s owner; Kitty Uitentuis, being present then the client will be held liable for this agreement as per the third parties understanding. Please note this especially an issue where language barriers are present. So please tell Kitty everything!

 

Contact details for third parties may be provided to the client. We ask that you do not abuse this information and allow the third parties to go about their work as direct by Katriona Alice. Any interference may cause confusion and impact the project trajectory.

 

Abuse of third party workers, or Katriona Alice, will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination of the contract no matter what state the project stands. At this point the client will be provided with all documentation, products and relevant information and will be billed, and expected to pay, for the stage payment up to the pointed of termination.

 

Detailed drawings as per Katriona Alice design will be provided with good intentions and Katriona Alice will endeavour to support contractors in good faith. However ultimate responsibility will lie with the third party providing the product or installation.

 

Delays and date changes in the project timeline due to third parties, or Katriona Alice, will be communicated to the client to the best of Katriona Alice’s knowledge. A plan to deal with any issue will be made by Katriona Alice and presented to the client for review.

 

Katriona Alice will not be held liable for damages by third parties onsite, this includes everyone outside of the company owner; Kitty Uitentuis.

 

Katriona Alice provides after-care support for its clients and will endeavour to help any client with any aforementioned faults within reason. However Katriona Alice will not be held liable for errors or oversight in the final work by third parties.
