Summary of our process
At Katriona Alice, we pride ourselves on providing a flexible service. Each project is different so we always like to start with a meet-and-greet to listen to your specific requirements and vision. After this we will create a clear project objective with a tailored contract for your review.​

Our concept phase will start with precedent images and sketched layouts. We like to create a presentation with a variety of looks and feels to discuss what you like, and what you don't. This helps guide the design and allows you to make informed decisions early on. ​
​
After a concept has been finalised we move onto the detail phase. This will start with technical drawings of the architecture and/or any built in furniture items (it's important to get these done a.s.a.p. for tender). Then following agreement on the details, we will work with you to appoint specialist contractors for every detail of the design.
​
Finally we have purchasing and installation. We work our way through your design and make sure every choice is accounted for; fabrics, furnishings, lighting, curtains, the list is endless.
​
Throughout our process we like to be transparent and keep an open line of communication at all times, meaning we are always just a text or picture away from any troubleshooting you may have.

Your budget :

A well designed home usually costs between 2,000 - 3,000 € per m2 for the builders work and materials. Of course this is dependent on your quality of finish and the extent of the architectural remodelling. Key items for considerations in any budget should be :

We work with local suppliers and stylist to make sure every element of your design is choreographed to perfection.

250m2 renovation of a terraced house in Haarlem, including extension into garden. 5 bedrooms, 2 offices, 3 bathrooms, ground floor living space. Design, materials & styling by Katriona Alice Design.​​

Design & Coordination Fees : €17,500 exc VAT, includes concept, detailing, procurement and site coordination by Katriona Alice Design.

Project Cost : Builders works & materials €650,000. Cabinetary & Furniture items €280,000.

Concept to Completition
Bathroom & Kitchen Refurbishment
Bespoke kitchen and bathroom designs with custom cabinetary. Design & materials by Katriona Alice Design​​

Design & Coordination Fees : 8,600 exc VAT, includes concept, detailing, procurement and site coordination by Katriona Alice Design.

Project Cost : Builders works & materials €40,000. Cabinetary €35,000.
Includes kitchen cabinets, appliances, lighting, tiling, white goods and new heating system.

Timeline : 4 months
Concept to Completition
Apartment Renovation
50m2 refurbishment off apartment in central Amsterdam with extension, garden works included. Design & materials by Katriona Alice Design, furniture selected by client.​​

Design & Coordination Fees : €13,500 exc VAT, includes concept, detailing and site coordination by Katriona Alice Design.

Project Cost : Builders works €280,000.
Cabinetary & materials €180,000.
Includes permits, architectural works, new layout of walls and services, new garden landscaping.

Timeline : 12 months
Concept to Completition
New Build Installation
100m2 completion of new build apartment in Utrecht. Coordination of developer items pre handover. Then plastering, painting, floors, cabinetary and furnishing of apartment, after handover from developer. Design, materials & styling by Katriona Alice Design.​​

Design & Coordination Fees : €12,500 exc VAT. Includes new build consultation, concept design, detailing, procurement and site coordination.
